A PERUVIAN MOCHICA POTTERY FIGURAL VESSEL, in pale red terracotta, formed as a man carrying a flared vessel on his back balanced by a headstrap. 10.5cm high; together with another ancient pottery figure of a standing deity, wearing a splayed headdress and hands over his chest. 9cm high (2) Provenance: Purchased from an antique dealer in Conneticut (USA) c.1973 and believed to have been part of the collection from an anthropologist in Yale University.
