西藏 19世紀末 黃地織彩雲金龍紋法衣
Tibet, late 19th century
an elegant garment constructed with yellow silk brocade, the sleeves are made from narrow stripes of yellow, dark blue and pale red brocade with dragon patterns. The robe is finely worked in gold and multi-coloured threads, the design on the front and back is dominated by two pairs of powerful side-facing five-clawed mang dragons clutching flowers and Buddhist ritual implements amidst a dense ground of ruyi clouds, all above the terrestrial diagram rising from rolling waves and ruyi lishui.
