A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURES, modelled as a shepherd and shepherdess, After models by M.V. Acier and J.C. Schönheit, the shepherd leans in against a tree stump while reaching for a sealed envelope around a pigeons neck, the shepherdess carries a bird cage containing a song bird over her shoulder, both figures with a lamb at their feet, raised on circular bases, moulded with stylised Greek Key, the entire hand painted, each incised with model number 'F.73' and crossed swords marks to underside. The Shepherd 19.1cm high; the Shepherdess c.18.4cm high
