A PAIR OF LATE 19TH CENTURY MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURES, modelled as a shepherd and shepherdess, After models by M.V. Acier and J.C. Schönheit, the shepherd leans in against a tree stump while reaching for a sealed envelope around a pigeons neck, the shepherdess carries a bird cage containing a song bird over her shoulder, both figures with a lamb at their feet, raised on circular bases, moulded with stylised Greek Key, the entire hand painted, each incised with model number 'F.73' and crossed swords marks to underside.
